Today, Saturday November 16, I attended by chance, during a long run along the Mall, the pre-opening of the National Museum of American History in Washington. The museum had been temporarily closed on September 5, 2006. There is a lot of innovations. A renewed gallery is “The American Presidency: A Glorious Burden”. And ‘Yes, we can’, Barack Obama, still president-elect till January 20, 2009, is there, proudly smiling above King’s dream of a time that people would not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character…
